Examples of Corporations
Promoting or Enabling Antisemitism Today:

Unilever

A huge multinational corporation which owns over 400 brands worldwide.

  • Unilever brand Ben & Jerry’s announced it would cut ties with its factory in Israel after 2022, in an effort to appease extremists who oppose Israel’s existence.
  • The chair of Ben & Jerry’s independent board supports discriminatory boycotts against Israel, implied Israel’s existence is a “catastrophe,” and attempted to whitewash the terrorist group Hamas.
  • The board chair also runs a group called the Oakland institute, which encouraged support for “resistance to Israel” by the terrorist group Hezbollah. The Ben & Jerry’s Foundation has reportedly donated at least $170,000 to the Oakland Institute.
  • Unilever can reverse Ben & Jerry’s decision and take a strong stand against this hatred, but has refused to do so (LINK TBD).
  • In September, 2021, a former Unilever employee sued the company for antisemitic discrimination.

Twitter

Social media giant, which has enabled the massive spread of antisemitism online and done far too little to prevent it.

  • From May 7-14, 2021, there were more than 17,000 tweets using variations of the words, “Hitler was right”.
  • In July, 2021, a former Congresswoman posted a dangerous conspiracy theory about 9/11, claiming “Zionists did it”. Twitter refused to remove it, calling it “strong political commentary.” The tweet is still up on the site
  • The Campaign Against Antisemitism, a UK watchdog group, has said Twitter’s antisemitism policies are failing. They regularly report antisemitic content to Twitter, and found that only 40% was actually removed. This includes tweets like “Except Hitler was right” and, “All vaccines were created by Jews to control the population of the goyim.”

Adidas

Multinational sportswear corporation.

  • Adidas is a major supporter of a non-profit called Slow Factory (along with many other corporations.
  • Slow Factory calls all of Israel “occupied territory” and opposes its existence. The vast majority of Jews see this as a form of antisemitism.
  • Slow Factory smears Israelis as “colonizers,” erasing 3,000 years of Jewish history, identity, and rights in their ancestral homeland.
  • During the Hamas-Israel war in May, 2021, Slow Factory posted on Instagram that, “What is happening in Palestine is not complicated…” A few months later, they reacted to the crisis in Afghanistan by posting that, “It is not possible to condense decades of conflict into a single Instagram post.” This is a classic double standard against the one Jewish state in the world.
